June 2008 2.00pm Harp Recital by Members of Junior Harpz and Harpz, various solos, duets and ensembles, in preparation for upcoming festivals - donations to the Leek Memorial Hall Funds who so kindly allow us to rehearse weekly in their space. REVIEW:
A harp concert was held at the Leeke Memorial Hall Kirk Langley, yesterday sunday 15th June. Helen-Elizabeth organised the concert, a harpist with a number of students in the area. With her students Helen competed in the national eisteddfod last year . Helen is trying to set up a branch of the Urdd Movement in the Derby area. It was a very successful concerts with a number of welsh tunes including Suo Gan and Migildi Magildi. There is a clip available to view in our gallery. Other works that students performed included A Welsh Landscape by David Watkins, Sarabande and Ground William Croft and the new work which was commissioned for The Derbyshire harp Ensemble - Take The Jazz Train. |
Cynhaliwyd cyngerdd delyn yn Neuadd
Leeke, Kirk Langley, Swydd Derby ar bnawn Sul 15 o Fehefin.
Cafodd y cyngerdd ei threfnu gan Helen Elisabeth Naylor,
Cymraes, athrawes a thelynores o fri efo nifer sylweddol
o ddisgyblion yn y ardal. Wnaeth disgyblion Helen cystadlu
yn y Genedlaethol y llynedd . Hefyd mae gan Helen uchelgais
i sefydlu aelwyd o'r Urdd ac efallai i gynnal Eisteddfod
leol yn Swydd Derby. Roedd y cyngerdd yn llwyddiannus iawn,
a chafodd sawl c?n Cymraeg ei ganu, sef Sua
G?n, a Migildi Magildi i
enwi dim ond dwy. Dyma glip fideo o Helen a'i disgyblion
