Helen-Elizabeth Naylor BA Hons (Wales)
click image to enlarge Helen-Elizabeth has performed in most of the leading venues in Derbyshire and Oxfordshire and is very popular for weddings and functions as both background entertainment and providing live musical accompaniment for wedding ceremonies in both church and civil locations. She is resident harpist at Morley Hayes and Weston Park and has worked in line ups along with Meat Loaf, Tony Blackburn and John Culshaw. Helen-Elizabeth has also completed a winter season playing at the world's largest log restaurant in Luosto, Finish Lapland for Canterbury Travel. She also runs a Harp Ensemble of 8 harpists called HARPZ The Derbyshire Harp Ensemble and Junior Harpz. She also performs as a duo with Harpist Elin Lloyd and is a director of the International Derbyshire Harp Festival alongside Kathryn Lewis. Repertoire is mixed ranging from classical, to modern popular and folk music. If a client has a specific piece in mind then I am very happy to add it to my existing repertoire. Helen-Elizabeth and her students take part in a wide range of fund raising activities for charity and in 2007 raised over £750.00 for Kirk Langley Church funds, they have also supported Marie Curie Cancer Care, Guide Dogs for the Blind, The MS Society to name but a few. Mr Paul Naylor - is our resident harp technician and he is available for all your basic harp care queries on a day to day basis, he is also in charge of Derbyshire International Harp Festival logistics and also works for Clive Morley Harps Ltd. |
