New venture between Ceredigion and Derbyshire! “Redundancy brings sweet music to my ears” says Carolyn Griffiths of Penparcau. After the loss of her job Carolyn Griffiths joined together with life long friends Helen and Paul Naylor to develop a recession busting new harp for the 21st century, The Derwent 29. Helen Naylor originally of Aberystwyth and director of Telynorion Cwm Derwent, needed a high quality low cost harp for new harp students to study and perform on, “in this day and age it is very difficult to ask parents for upwards of 2000 pounds so that their children can begin the harp” says Helen Naylor “we needed an answer and fast!” so Paul Naylor, an Afghanistan veteran and qualified engineer was drafted in to solve the problem. The Derwent 29 is now available to order through The Little Welsh Shop. |
